Harbor Island Beach Club is a gated beachfront community on a barrier island, with the Atlantic on one side and the Indian River Lagoon on the other. Homes range from 3 to 8 bedrooms, many with a private pool and spa. The community pool sits just inside the gate. Walk a little farther and you’re on the beach. On the lagoon side, a private marina with Intracoastal access is a recognized port of call on America’s Great Loop. Melbourne Beach is the kind of place where the day finds you, not the other way around.

The Trip That Slows Down

A barrier island with the Atlantic on one side and the Intracoastal on the other. Mornings on the beach, afternoons on the water, evenings drifting back toward the marina. Kennedy Space Center is forty-five minutes north when you want a day off the island, and Orlando’s parks are about ninety minutes west if the group is up for it. Most days, you won’t use either.

Harbor Island Beach Club is a gated beachfront community at 3040 Florida A1A, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951, on the Florida Space Coast. About 20 minutes from Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB), 45 minutes to Kennedy Space Center, and roughly 90 minutes from Orlando and the theme parks.
Yes. Harbor Island Beach Club is right on the Atlantic with direct, gated beach access for guests. The community sits on a barrier island, with the ocean on one side and the Indian River Lagoon on the other.
Yes. The private marina is on the Intracoastal Waterway and is a recognized port of call on America’s Great Loop. Slips are available to Villatel guests for an additional fee. See our dedicated Great Loop page for full slip details, rules, and amenities.
Many homes have a private pool and spa, and every guest has access to the grand community pool just inside the gate. Private pool and spa heat is available as a daily add-on. Once heated, private pools reach 82 to 86°F and spas reach 102°F. Heating can take up to 24 hours, so we recommend reserving pool heat in advance.
Harbor Island offers seasonal on-property programming for guests. Your Guest Experience team can share what’s available during your stay window when you book.
Select Harbor Island homes welcome well-mannered dogs. A non-refundable pet fee applies per stay, and pet-friendly status varies by home, so confirm with your Guest Experience team when booking. ADA-certified service dogs are always welcome at no charge.
The Guest Experience team (available 24/7) can arrange pre-arrival grocery stocking, private chef experiences, fishing charters, beach gear and bike rentals, daily housekeeping, pool heat, patio grill rental, and curated add-on packages including the Beach Package, Fishing Charter, Patio Grill, Private Chef, Pool Heat, Pool Party, and more.
Free parking for up to 2 vehicles per home is included. Overflow parking is available upon request. Gate access and parking tags are provided at check-in. RVs, large vans, and trailers are not permitted inside the community.
Minimum stays vary by home and season, with most at two to five nights. Longer minimums apply during holidays and peak weeks. Each home’s listing shows the minimum-night requirement for your chosen dates.
Check-in begins at 4PM. Check-out is at 10AM.

Each bathroom features a starter kit of travel-sized soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and a roll of toilet paper. Your home will also come equipped with a starter pantry kit including paper towel, garbage bags, dishwashing tabs, dish soap, a laundry detergent tab, and coffee and tea bags.
Access to the beachfront at Harbor Island Beach Club is gated and reserved for Harbor Island Beach Club guests only.
