Solara homes are 8 and 9-bedroom standalone estates, so you get your own front door, your own pool, your own quiet morning. But the reason guests keep coming back is what happens at the clubhouse. A FlowRider surf simulator anchors the complex, with a splash pad for the youngest, a community pool fringed by palms and private cabanas, a Tiki bar pouring tropical drinks, and an ice cream parlor. Then there are the courts: basketball, volleyball, a full-size soccer field. Walt Disney World is twenty minutes down the road. Some days the kids won’t want to leave Solara at all.
The Trip That Doesn’t Need Disney
Some days, you won’t
make it past the clubhouse.
The parks are why most groups book the trip. Somewhere around day three, that changes. Someone signs up for a FlowRider session, the little ones plant themselves at the splash pad, and the teens find the basketball court. By sunset, everyone’s circled back to the Tiki bar. Disney is still twenty minutes down the road. Most of the trip happens between your private pool and the clubhouse complex next door.

Solara is a gated community at 9002 Sunset Palms Ter, Kissimmee, FL 34747. About 20 minutes from Walt Disney World, 40 minutes from Universal, and 25 to 40 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Solara’s clubhouse complex includes a FlowRider surf simulator, splash pad, community pool with cabanas, Tiki bar and grill, ice cream parlor, sundries store, a full fitness center, and outdoor basketball, volleyball, and a full-size soccer field. There is also a tween and teen hangout center, plus shuttle service to Disney and Universal. FlowRider sessions are bookable for an additional fee.
FlowRider sessions are available with day and week passes, plus hour-long private group sessions for up to 8 people. An on-site team helps all skill levels, from first-timers to seasoned surfers. A separate fee applies, and group sessions should be reserved at least 24 hours in advance. Your Guest Experience team can arrange this before or during your stay.
Yes. Round-trip shuttle service to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando is available for a fee and can be booked at bentransfer.com. Once booked, save your digital boarding pass to your phone and have it ready when you board.
Yes. The Guest Experience team (available 24/7) can arrange pre-arrival grocery stocking, private chef experiences, daily housekeeping, pool heat, patio grill rental, stroller and crib rentals, and curated add-on packages including movie marathon and pool party kits. Add-on services are billed separately from the base stay.
Yes. Solara welcomes up to two well-mannered dogs per reservation, with a 125 lb combined weight limit (or 75 lb for a single dog). A non-refundable $150 fee applies per dog, per stay. ADA-certified service dogs are always welcome at no charge.
Every Solara home has a private spa. Pool and spa heat is available as a daily add-on. Once heated, pools reach 82 to 86°F and spas reach 102°F. Heating the pool can take up to 24 hours, so we recommend reserving pool heat in advance. Note that the spas are integrated with the pool heating system rather than standalone hot tubs.
During the reservation and check-in process, you’ll be made aware of the maximum number of vehicles permitted at the property. A maximum of five (5) cars is allowed per reservation, and the driveway accommodates up to two (2) standard-sized vehicles. The community will not issue additional parking passes beyond this limit. Gate access and parking tags are provided at check-in. RVs, large vans, tractors, and buses are not permitted inside the community.
Minimum stays vary by home and season, with most at two to five nights. Longer minimums apply during holidays and peak weeks. Each home’s listing shows the minimum-night requirement for your chosen dates.
On the day of arrival, check-in begins at 4PM. Check-out is at 10AM.
You’ll receive a check-in email prior to arrival with your door code. Simply enter it on the keypad and head inside!

Each bathroom features a starter kit of travel-sized soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and a roll of toilet paper. Your home will also come equipped with a starter pantry kit, comprised of paper towel, garbage bags, dishwashing tabs, dish soap, a laundry detergent tab, and a stock of coffee and tea bags. Starter kits are only refilled with a purchase of our daily or mid-stay cleans.
We take care of the rest. Before you go, simply close all windows, lock all doors, turn off lights and fans, and leave the thermostats at 72 degrees or higher. Feel free to leave behind any unopened food and drink items — our housekeeping team will donate these to local churches and charities on your behalf.
Yes. Our homes are located across several communities. If your group needs multiple homes in the same community, we recommend calling our Reservations team directly at 407-307-2794 — they’ll identify what’s available and coordinate your booking to keep everyone together.
Yes. All of our homes with private pools are equipped with a child-friendly safety gate between the lanai and the pool area.
